This is a great place to stop by for lunch. The staff is always friendly and the food is great.
My favorite menu item is a bowl of steak, Mexican rice, beans, cheese, and avocado.

Stopped at Chely's for a quick breakfast bite! The breakfast taquitos were amazing!!
Its located downstairs in a food court, so not right on the street, but worth the few extra steps! -

Another great addition to the Robinson Renaissance food court. Chely's is run by a former City Bites manager who has a great deal of experience in the downtown restaurant market. It offers traditional Mexican fare for lunch (bowls, burritos, tacos, etc) and offers breakfast starting (I believe) at 7:00 am.
To date, I have eaten breakfast at Chely's several times but have not made it in for lunch yet. Many colleagues in my office have eaten lunch at Chely's and had nothing but good things to say about it, but I cannot offer a lunch opinion at this time.
That said, the breakfast is very strong. I have had breakfast tacos, the breakfast chicken sandwich, and my favorite, the Albuquerque burrito. This burrito sells for about $4.50 and is loaded: scrambled eggs, jack cheese, potatoes, sausage, peppers, onions, and a creamy chipotle sauce. I get it with a side of the housemade salsa and it is a filling and very tasty breakfast. It is freshly made to order, so when it arrives it is HOT. Be forewarned and although you are going to want to dive in, give in a bit to cool off.
The tacos are standard breakfast tacos with cheese, eggs, and meat of your choice. They are large and are also a good value. The chicken sandwich is unique, it's chicken smashed on the flat top to get some nice color to it, placed on a bun (also griddled) with a fried egg and cheese. It's another filling sandwich for a very reasonable price.
Thus far, I've not had a bad meal at Chely's. I will be back very soon.
